ok no one seems to have posted this and it seems to be the biggest question I could have thought been asked about these new cards. How do they compare to each other and furthermore how about to the 3870s?
I'm buying a new card, I got sidetracked for a bit with my car but, I'm back for the computers. What is a better card for the dollar and potential

In keeping performance in the forefront and considering the recent price drops, the 8800GT gets my vote...seen a few for around $170-$180 after MIR.

The 8800GT is still a winner IMO.

Well, if your budget is that high, then you may want to consider the EVGA 8800GTS G92 512 which is $270 from Newegg after MIR. Comes with Crysis!

the gtx isn't really worth the almost double price range is it? I like stuff thats good and I don't mind buying it if its WORTH it. Like 75% price for 10% performance doesn't seem good. unless I'm wrong with the value I think the 8800gt it is.

but it's worth mentioning that the 9800GTX will be the best single graphics card out
