Well, i had an AGP 7900GS that pooped on me and i sent it in for RMA. I got a message from XFX about it today saying that they do not have an "equivalent" AGP models available. They wanted to give me a 8800GS PCI-E instead. the only problem is, i have no use for it currently, since i have an agp mobo. I dont really want to upgrade everything now (dont have the money to do it correctly if i were to do it now.)

Anyone have any ideas? either i take the pcie card and let it sit unused or sit and wait for maybe some agp card to come in...

you can either, 1 try to get them to give you a mobo to :) or get the card and try to sell it

Maybe they'll give you a refund or something. Try speaking nicely to the reps/manager and see what happens. If nothing goes in the direction for you, ask them if you can get a 8800GT 512 while you at the same time build yourself a AM2 setup if you wanna keep the budget down.

their "unknown" timeframes turned into a week or so... if they would have said a week in the first place, there wouldnt have been an issue
