audio over PCIe
i have a motherboard that has onboard audio, and a video card that has an HDMI out (they happen to be the ones i won in the fold away) how can i configure the onboard sound to pass over the PCIE bus to the HDMI? there was a little cable that came with the graphics card that had two pins, i connected these to the SPDIF_O header on the motherboard. but in vista i cannot see the HDMI out put option under audio devices, and hte SPDIF out doesnt work. any ideas?

Re: audio over PCIe
I'd really take this question up on AVS Forum's HTPC area as they have a ton of experts on the HDMI interface as it relates to PC Audio. To my understanding you shouldn't need to connect anything between the two, just like you no longer need a cable for CD Audio out of a CD-ROM.
