GeForce 7100GS problems

Can anybody help, please?

I have two problems with my GeForce 7100GS card.

I am trying to connect the S-Video output to TV.

First problem:
The S-Video output is set to Dualview. The card correctly detects my display as LG Electronics L226W but it insists that my standard analogue TV is an HDTV.

How can I get it to recognise the TV correctly?

Second problem:
I have tried connecting the TV as both Composite and S-Video using the appropriate Phono and Scart adapters. However, the result is the same in either mode.
Despite the card being set to Dualview, the TV shows a very blurred blue screen and, when I move the cursor to the right and off the monitor screen, it appears on the TV as though the card were set to Horizontal Span..

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Can you manually lower the TV's resolution to something like 640x480?

Hi Dan,

Unfortunately not. Resolution settings are fixed.

I've tried every variation of setting available to me, but no joy.

Thanks for the thought. :-k

Is there a force TV detect option?

Hi, Dan,

Happy New Year. :)

Sorry for the delay.

No. There is no Force TV option. However, The card has no problen selecting the TV. It just won't produce the right size of picture.
Imagine a TV screen divided into four like a chequer-board. The picture is approximately the bottom right-hand corner section.
What's more, adjusting the TV picture size only varies the size of the TV image - not the percentage of the picture that is reproduced.

Pattie.
