God that water block is frickin huge on the Gainward card!!!! Wonder if you would have to get low-profile sound and controller cards to even use the other PCI slots. That thing must stay pretty darn cool!

Well, either way, checked the price tag on the 7800GTX, not pretty, lol. I don't exactly have $570-$600 for a GFX card, maybe $375 at the most (6800GT/Ultra price range), but not 6, lol. When I'm finished with college, then I'll consider it :)

not only that, but those were in units of euros.... not dollars. it's like 1.25 dollars per euro.

also, that card isn't sold in the u.s.

best bet is the bfg model.... oc'ed to 460mhz

Well, it runs on air cooling right? It's worth more if the card OCs to that level without watercooling...watercooling is expensive to do right.

Lemme just go grab dad's credit card and I think I'll order myself a couple of those. Anyone else want one?

Yeah, go get me a couple, I'd do a SLi setup if someone gave me the video cards, lol. Otherwise, I'm a cheap-ass, rofl ](*,)

Can someone show me where the SLi bridge is? Or is it covered by the cooler?

The SLi bridge usually comes with the motherboard (I don't believe it's onboard). It's a little connector that has two small connectors on what appears to be a PCB. You can see it easier here (it's the fourth pic down, the little connector propped up on the sound module). That is what connects the video card, and the interface is usually controlled by the system chipset on the Northbridge.

man that's a tight fit, lol. I don't see how you keep that SFF setup cool, especially with a mammoth graphics card like the 7800GTX.

Shuttle does quite a bit of work in regards to thermal engineering of their cases. It runs a little bit warmer with the 7800 in there, but the high performance cooler that evga uses helps to offset that quite a bit.

always a good thing, but I would slap some AS5 underneath the VGA HSF to keep her nice and cool, not to mention maybe switching it with a NV Silencer, heheh :)

NV silencer doesnt fit without modification to some of the external structure.

they haven't came out with one for the 7800 yet?? didn't know that. Well, guess I'll be going with a 6800GT and OC it to Ultra speeds with a Silencer and AS 5 accompanying the overclocked card. :)

Sorry, I meant that the silencers dont fit without modification to the Shuttle, at least on the 6800s.

ohh ok, lol; well, I would still look at a comparable aftermarket VGA cooler, mainly because I think it would help your SFF setup a good deal IMO. all I know is that's a kick-ass system you have going, and for it all to be in a SFF case, even better!! :)
