just goes to show that many of our readers don't understand the basics. We are here to educate!

That's always the most important: the basics; without it, you have no basis to build a machine, or, in my opinion, even start one up and use it, because you gotta know a little something about computer hardware just in case you turn it on and something all the sudden goes wrong (goes double for software, too); on top of that, I want to know who told him to cut those leads off so I can "educate" him, lol.

___O H___M Y___G O D___ . . . . . . . . . . . . .

That is... Just ... Truly... Rediculous!
It almost makes me want to cry!

I feel bad for calling him an idiot, but if you know enough to know that a 7800GTX is the best card on the market right now and have the "confidence" to buy it and install it yourself, then you should have the common sense to know you don't have to cut the damn thing apart!!!

If there wasn't a picture there I wouldn't believe it in a million years...

never heard of that before. Of course, I'm more used to how AGP works rather than PCI-E. interesting, but I still wouldn't hack up a card like that, lol. Too much money to hack up, lol :P

Damn straight, if I got that thing for free, I would beg, borrow, and steal to get the rest of the parts for my PC, lol, just for the drool effect while playing BF2 or WoW on full AA at high-res :)
