Have you ever seen the warning sticker that is on the static bag of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 video card? Take a look at this sticker that was on an EVGA branded card that came from Newegg!
"Please allow the graphics card to cool for a minimum of 2 minutes after operation before removing it from your system"

Translated: Don't touch me as I'll burn your fingers so bad you'll lose your finger prints!

lol..One would think every manufacturer would include that on these . No warnings were on mine. Oh well. Burning a hand is enough warning I guess

Nah lol. I did put my hand on it and it was hot, but it wasn't long enough to burn..But it wouldn't take but a second or longer to possibly leave a mark

LMAO it proves how hot they get but i haven't yet seen a test of the heat coming from a gt400 series card. well not one that is in a system as all the ones i have seen are outside the case and will be a bit cooler due to that. how post up a link if you have found a video of a test inside a rig!

As I wrote in my article I had one in a Corsair 800D with two monitors on it and while gaming it got up to 99C

I think the card starts to throttle at 105C

That's what I read. I got up to 103C the other day(so far)..but that was using the Xtreme Burning mode in Furmark. not bad if I have to do that to get that high of a temp IMO.. Course. Summer hasn't really started yet

i cant really see this card doing well IMO with the temp getting that high and the threshold being 105c then there will be alot of RMA's
