gtx 470 by Gainward

Post by ColdPlay »

I just bought a Gainward gtx 470 for my sons new rig. Anybody got experiences with this perticular v.card, overclocking and Gainwards utility's? My latest from Gainward is the 7950 256mb golden sample, it still runs great, with good settings in MW2!

Thx for any response, ColdPlay

never used(or honestly seen) a gainward card, I wouldn't touch the clocks, thats one helluva card for anybody, theres no way he needs anything more than default clocks unless he's a benchmark junkie, and even then not much. I really don't like to overclock cards for long amounts of time(more than 5hrs) and I have a bunch of solid cards that i dont even use (gt240 and up) you get way too little improvement in general gaming/use for it to be worth the extra heat/sound/power consumption

Yeah, you're probably right, not good for me reading all those tests here at legit's lol!
I guess all cards live longer at default clocks, and this card should definately perform well.

thx
