MSI 6600GT graphic Issue

Hello there i am a n00b to this forum.

i have jut gotten an other MSI 6600GT an i am getting 2 vertical lines down the left hand side of my monitor.

i was wondering if any one had any sugestions of how to fix this problem.

i have not tested any other game yet but it comes up in quake 4 but not in windows..

i am using the forceware version 81.85

any help would be great.

Quake 4 has had issues with the older drivers and nVidia has come out with sevral new drivers with Quake 4 fixes.

Look at the following thread to download the latest nvidia 81.94 drivers to replace the 81.85 drivers you are running. What you had was a known problem and should be fixed in these drivers.

Also check to make sure your VGA cable is plugged all the way in and away from other power cables. Oh yeah -- Welcome to the forums!
