The MSRP of $349.99 and the launch prices of $399.99 are now long gone and we are finding retailers that have this card for under $300 now. What you guys/gals think?

considering that you can get a GT for about $270, this lower performance sybling should be around $200-$220

This is AGP though and I honestly think the higher price is because they want to help (force) people into going to PCIe cards.

OK, good. If I need a new GFX unit, then I'll pick up one. But, I'm still planning to buy a new rig at the end of this year. PCI-E and AMD Dual Core (unless Intel goes one better that is, my loyalties lie with performance).

thanks but I don't need any help (especially forcing) and I don't think it's fair. people should switch to PCI-E because they want to and not because they are forced. BTW, I wouldn't be surprised if by time they "help" most of the customers switch to PCI-E, there is gonna be a new interface and again we can just all throw out our nice and shiny PCI-E mobos

LOL PCIe will be around for a bit like AGP was... Just expect to see HDMI connectors on GFX cards in the near future.
