what are differences between NV40 and NV48 ??

I've just bought a Nvidia 6800 Ultra VGA card..its GPU is NV48 !! with a price $ 255 USD. !!!
but I'm wonder that ...what are differences between NV40 and NV48 although they both Geforce 6800 Ultra ??

GeForce 6800 Ultra ----> NV40
GeForce 6800 Ultra w/ 512MB Memory ----> NV48

BUt...my 6800Ultra is 256MB..I can't find any info about this card 'cause nVidia dont produce it any longer...

Because when I install 81.98 Driver..It didnt work

NV48 is just an NV45 with 512MB of RAM, all the specs are the same.
And essentially, the only difference between NV45 and NV40 is that NV45 has an integrated HSI chip for PCIe compatibility.
