Are you ready for XHD?
Is your current PC display inferior to your 4MP digital camera? Is it time to upgrade? If you are wondering whether or not widescreen gaming is for you consider this:

Standard 4:3 PC Displays
1024x768 = 0.8 megapixel (MP) display
1280x1024 = 1.3 MP display
1600x1200 = 1.9 MP display

1280 x 720p HD-Television = 0.9 MP display
1920 x 1080i HD-Television = 1 MP display (per field)

Extreme High-Definition PC Displays (with generally faster response times than 4:3)
1680x1050 = 1.8 MP widescreen display
1920x1200 = 2.3 MP widescreen display
2560x1600 = 4.1 MP widescreen display

What is HDTV?
The High Definition Plasma TV delivers a wide aspect, high-definition resolution giving you life-like picture quality. Offering a high definition resolution, the HDTV TV gives you razor-sharp visual images and motion video delivering crisp, clear images with fast-paced action video.

HD Content
Today, high-definition content is becoming more and more prevalent for PC users and home theater enthusiasts. Whether you’re watching HDTV at home, or you want to experience the highest quality video and DVDs while traveling, you’re demanding better quality content. New video formats are emerging to address these demands, including H.264, VC-1, WMV-HD and MPEG-2 HD for high-definition DVD movies.

Now with an NVIDIA® GeForce® 6 or GeForce 7 Series-powered PC and NVIDIA’s advanced PureVideo™ technology, you can easily and affordably take advantage of the latest high definition video content. Here is a sampling of widely available HD content:

Bringing the High-Definition Home Theater Experience to Your PC
Today’s consumers demand a high-definition (HD) home theater experience on their PC. They want superb picture clarity, stutter-free playback and multiple display connectivity options. The best way to achieve this is with NVIDIA® PureVideo™ technology.

Watch videos on your desktop PC, notebook PC, or HDTV without the annoying artifacts and imperfections of traditional PC-based video solutions. NVIDIA PureVideo technology is the combination of a dedicated video processing core and software that delivers ultra-smooth, high-definition H.264, VC-1, WMV, and MPEG-2 movies with minimal CPU utilization and low power consumption. And the high-precision subpixel processing enables videos to be scaled to any size, so that even small videos look like they were recorded in high-resolution.
