Why does my SLI SUCK?

I have been reading about 7900GT/GTX SLI setups and have found disturbing trends. Some people are reporting 14k+ with their NON-OCed setups.... My 2x eVGA 7900GTX SLI + 2.6GHz Opty 170 can't break 12k! It almosts gets there (misses by about 100 points)....WTF?

my guess is they are getting 14k un OCed on a single x1900XTX 512mb right?

so, you are saying other people are getting higher with the same setup (or slower) than what you have?

your 3dmark score depends on more than just the GPU

Whoops I didn't provide enough info. I'm seeing people get better scores with lesser GPUs that are not OCed (7900GTs for instance) in 3DMark05. I have an Opteron 170 overclocked to 2.6GHz paired with the 7900GTXs.
UPDATE: Ran DriverCleaner and CAB Cleaner, reinstalled drivers. Now I get 13k....this is somewhat better however I know there's more power to use...
