Dual 7900GT is faster than 7900GTX, but the 7900GTX would give you the option to SLI later. I'd get one 7900GTX, it can run FEAR at about 60FPS @ 1280x1024 w/soft shadows and AF16x with all videocard settings other than AA set to "Maximum" The fat 512MB framebuffer helps too *pats dual 7900GTX*

The GTX would be better........but would you not consider the x1900?

Oblivion with HDR + AA looks amazing ;)

my opinion on this is no one NEEDS a dual gfx card rig right now...

you only get like a 30% increase with dual geforce 7900 cards right now, which seems like alot of money to spend for a 30% increase...

So yea just get a single card untill they can up the percentage on the performance with the cards working off sli...

Not to mention that quad core technology is coming down the pipe for gfx and processors pretty soon...

Quad will be just like the sli now but the card itself has two in one type deal, so yea...

My bother has a pair of 7900GT's in SLi with a Gateway 21" LCD and he gets some SMOKE'IN frame rates in all his games including Fear , etc . ! My choice would be a pair 7900GT's after experiancing them in action .
