62C is pretty hot for at idle... is anything blocking the fan and is the fan running? if it just started doing this it sounds like something stopped working... check all the case fans and make sure something like dust isn't clogged in the cooling fins for the heat sink.

Just to compare I have a BGF Tech 7800GTX running in my Antec case at 49C.

Get a fan on that area, that should help. If it's still high, you could always reseat the cooler with AS5 or similar or go with an aftermarket cooler.

nothin is blockin it.got bout 7 fans runnin in the case so i cant think of that bein a prob..yet...its always run around that temp just hasnt givin me issues til yestedray..hasnt given me another one yet..could it be that i have one of those cards that evga needed to replace due to the OC'ing? just looked at the temp again after leavin it on all nite..its sittin at 59c... :/..never really tried to use an aftermarket cooler on vid cards before so ill stay away from that for now..
