Try "RivaTuner"
It allows you to create an .inf file to force gfx/monitor resolutions

Welcome to the forums and let us know if RivaTuner doesn't work out for you. It might be able to do it.

Just to add, Don't force rivatuner to use a resolution your monitor can't support! If you do, you'll get a black screen.........if that happens, boot into safe mode and remove the profile you created.

Try this for comparison. My girlfriends computer is using a geforce 2 gts and it wouldnt run the 1440 X 900 either, but i installed the driver 53.41 or whatever is really close to that number, which i had in the my docs folder and it runs the resolution now. I dont know if that card you have is similar but its worth a try.

Oh yeah the reason i needed that resolution was because i got her a samsung 4ms 19" widescreen for christmas.

Good Luck, i hope you can upgrade the driver and get the same results as i did.

I have the same problem trying to get an ATI Rage to run at 1440x900.
