Palm TX Problem...0x0305
Hey,
I bought a palm TX in January or so. I used the wifi on it no problem before. then i started to use the bluetooth to connect to my pc's (work and home). now it wont let me get back to use the wifi connection. i get a "Error: Serial: timeout. Could be bad cable or faulty Modem. (0x0305)"
I have search on the net for a solution but all of the info that i am finding is when people try and connect to their palms to a bluetooth thing, not over wifi. I dont know what to do. I have tried connecting over wifi with the Bluetooth on and off. I can see all the networks with the connectivity bars.
Anyone have any suggestions? i am running out of ideas.

check the Hard reset section here. (the process could be more similar to the zero out reset if you have non-volitile memory, same process, just requires an extra soft reset (the button on the back) when its done hard resetting). The downside is that all your data and applications will be lost (aka factory settings).
Just before we have to use that last resort, you are disabling the bluetooth when using the wifi again? Have you tried it with the bluetooth still on?

yes i have tried it with both (on and off), neither way works. it is really wierd, it will go through the process of the connecting and everything. it says that it is connected. then it gets the error.

hmm...ill check that. I had to do a full hard restart and erase everything. it started to do it again so i called up the palm people. they told me that it probably was from som program that i have installed. i created a new account and didnt install the software. so far, no problems.
