Stay away from the P4-M's they arent much better than P4's stuck in a laptop.
If i were you I'd want to get the core 2 duo. As it is dual core (did you mean dual core turion too? because some aren't) overall it has a better power saving chipset that will help give you longer battery life (than a similar AMD setup), while still having a decent amount of power. I'm not sure, but I also think that its rated at less power/heat than the AMD 2.0Ghz one.
I would like to be able to play some games on it, I know I won't get the kind of performance out of a laptop as I would a desktop machine.
The machine will primarily be used for work (Workstation Imaging, Database Administration, etc...). It will also be my PC when I am at LAN Parties because my desktops all get used as servers.
The Core 2 Duo laptop listed only has Intel GFX --> no use for games
The "dv6105us" (first link) has GeForce Go 6150 GFX which is good for low-res gaming......not much else and prolly won't run the latest games
The "nx6325" (second link) has a dual core Turion chip which would give better performance in day to day work, but the GFX isn't too great....but better than Intel's GFX
I'd get the one in the first link if you wanted to play games, esp. if your using it at a LAN.
