Salvaging my AMD laptop

Post by Alathald »

I've got a laptop that just crapped out on me. I'm pretty sure it's the mobo and I wanted to salvage everything out of it and move it to a barebones system. The processor is AMD Socket 754 and it takes two sticks of ram (2x512MB). I assume the hard drive and dvd drive are standard thoughout. Do any of you guys know of a decent barebones laptop I can drop this stuff into?

first check if your hard drive is SATA or EIDE that can be checked by serching the drives part number or it might say it on the drive but uh i know that msi worked for me pretty well except i have some cooling issues but it is a laptop so try maybe
