Does anyone know who makes these?

QUANTA is/was a big supplier of laptop chassis' for Dell, though looking at their site I can't see any generic cases that look like that/the 9400.

Compal did a fair bit too.

But you do realise that the case you will find will end up looking like the 9400 as all the customisations, i.e. lights etc are all Dell specific add-ons.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think Quanta even makes a 17" whitebook let alone the Dell 9400/XPS/M90 model. Neither does Compal as far as I know. Dell probably puts this one together themselves in Ireland or Malaysia. Would like to find out who makes the case though.
