MacBook Pro HDD replacement

Well, after running short on diskspace (mostly because 1/2 is partitioned for Windows) and wanting a faster drive, I bought a Seagate Momentus 7200.2 160GB drive for my MacBook Pro. Rather than trying to image each partition and migrate to the new drive, I am just going to reinstall both OS's. Hopefully I'll get a chance to work on it tomorrow. Today I am just backing up files etc that I will restore on the new drive once things are all set. If I have the time, I'll try to take some pics etc in the process. I also plan on re-applying the thermal paste on my cpu fans because I am hearing Apple slopped it on most of them and my machine could stand to run a little cooler.

You are a braver man than I am. I actually would not mind taking my MBP apart, but it voids the warranty for the notebook.

I think my year warranty is up anyway. Screw 'em hehe.

Additionally, I don't really need to put up pics etc because I found them all right here! --> http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Mac/MacBook ... re-Duo/85/

OMG, done! Took like 15 mins (I took my time and was careful too). Very easy. If you want to upgrade your HDD I'd say go for it. Another good guide here:
