was :axe: to the show at quakecon and really wanted to know more. anyways, have been looking online for the past couple of days and not really finding that much. Asus has a couple boards, but nothing that interest me. i am looking to get a ATI chipset ( something over a 9700 ) with DDR2 memory and all that jazz, screen .. smaller don't really matter, and a pentium 4 system. can't seem to find any that really fit that description tho.

also, anyone know any canadian ( toronto ) suppliers that are local and i can get some stuff through? i know a couple places that will order anything for me, even from china, but that gets a bit expensive sometimes.

any suggestions on a whitebox to start with?

Are you looking for Pentium 4 or Pentium M? From what I know, if you go for a 4, you're pretty much looking at desktop replacements, and personally, I don't think those things count as laptops.

If you can help narrow down the screen size I will be able to list the brands and models of some widely available notebooks for you.

Thanks for coming to the workshop.
