Is there any good chasis out there without a video card installed? If so, could I just buy a PCI Express card and install it myself or does it not work that way? Im just Thinking since the ASUS z71v has the NForceGo 6600 PCI Express, find a chasis with the pci express slot and go from there. Any thoughts?

I'm not a notebook guru, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way. Everything is prettymuch all onboard when it comes to laptops and laptop chassis. Notice you cannot really buy just a video card to "install" into a laptop. If it were easy (or even possible), you would see vendors selling laptop video cards along with the RAM, processors, HDD's, and optical drives.
So I'd say just try and find a chassis that fits all of your needs and go for it. Laptops aren't quite as customizeable as desktops, unfortunately.
Either way, good luck with your build!

I believe he's referring to the new MXM graphics cards. Supposedly you should eventually be able to just go buy one of these cards and swap it out, independent of the manufactuer of the laptop chassis. However, I have yet to see any standalone MXM cards being sold.

Heres nvidias write-up on it, as they were the ones to develop it. Its an open standard though, so if ATI wasn't being so bullheadish, they can use it too.

Oh, probably wasn't funny at all, it was really just a stupid observation, so don't worry about it. I was just referring to the fact that ATI's new CrossFire motherboard/chipset is codenamed "Bullhead"
