undervolting?

Post by kronchev »

I saw something on this in another thread, how do you do it, are there any downsides?

I'm really experienced on desktop systems but never mobile systems...plus I'd like to be 100% sure I want to do it before I crack this open all over again and stick wires in holes.

I have a P-M 750

Undervolting has no downsides at all. If you use two little voltage the processor will become unstable and cause the system to restart or hang. Trial and error will prevent that from happening.

First Read This Thread: http://forums.legitreviews.com/viewtopic.php?t=2711

Then Download this utility: http://samsung.schwippi.de/files/chc_1.9b02.zip

Then Download and Install .NET 1.1 if you don't have it: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Try setting the CPU to 0.7 Volts when run at idle and it will burn in to see if it is stable... pretty simple and i've never seen anyone fry a CPU by undervolting.
