Anyone seen a place that sells Barebones of White Box systems like this for AMD. I dont want to pay the price premium for the intel name when I can buy AMD for half the price

What brand? Mitac is a popular AMD Chassis that is used by Voodoo and other notebook builders.

So has anyone here in the forums ever built a notebook? I am thinking about building one but don't have any experience. What chassis do you all use? Thanks

Check out Nate's incredible article on the topic....so good in fact that Intel even co-sponsored a workshop on the topic at the recently completed Winter CPL in Dallas.

A few members here and there have built notebooks. Feel free to ask and we'd be more than happy to help you in any way possible. AMD or Intel based ;) Couldn't talk about AMD at the conference, but they are fair game on here
