hdd compatibility with Z71V

heres the hdd i want: HITACHI Travelstar 7K100 HTS721080G9AT00 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache Notebook Hard Drive - OEM

it says it has ata interface... will it work with asus z71v ?

also would this optical drive be compatible as well ? ASUS DVD+/ - RW DRIVE - PLUG- IN MODULE - 8X/ 8X - 5.25 INCH

Yes that HD will work, as for the dvd drive, as long as its for the z71 you should be fine, most sites let you add the drive to the chasie when you buy.
