By the time I finish school and have money again to upgrade my laptop... is there going to be no 15" high end laptops out there? Is everything going to 17"+ glossy screens.... yuck

Why would anyone want a mobile computer bigger then 15".... its just insane... and glossy screens yet

I have my z71v with a 15" matte screen and other then the sparkle its perfect. It doesnt need to be any bigger and I cant see myself in it or my finger prints...

What is the big hype with glossy screens? Is the era of 15" widesreens over for good?

I am right with you on this. I started noticing the trend a few months ago when Dell and ABS computers no longer carried any 15" notebooks on their site. I think gateway carried one, but it had integrated Intel "extreme" graphics. Are 15.4" and 15" notbooks going to be gone forever? I don't think so, but I do know that right now everyone is pushing the 17" and 19" wide screen displays.
