Asus Z62F 14.1" Yonah Notebook For $546

Post by Apoptosis »

I think I have found the next notebook that I am going to buy to replace my AOpen 1558 DIY notebook. It's the ASUS Z62F and I found it at ActBuy.com for $561 and at yesmicro.com for $546.06 with a CDRW and $596.95 with the DVDRW and it is in stock.
The ASUS Z62F is slim and light weight and allows for a more personal touch for you laptop. With and built in webcam and stereo speakers your notebook will be all that you want and more.

Features:

Type: Notebook Barebone
Display Size: 14.1" WXGA TFT Display
Removable Storage: DVD/CDRW
Processor Socket: Intel 945GM + ICH7-M
Maximum Memory: 2 GB
Audio Output: Built in Stereo Speakers
What do you guys think? This would be ideal for travel as I want under a 15" screen and I don't plan on keeping it long enough to worry about the graphics not working on Vista.

For a light-weight travel notebook, I'd say its perfect... especially with the webcam incase you've got a netmeeting to attend while on the road. don't think you'll beat that price either.

http://www.dvnation.com/laptop.html has these DIY notebooks too for a good price. I've been to toher sites that list it for lower, but they don't have them in stock. dvnation also has a laptop "store" where you can buy parts separately, or configure the entire laptop. They also sell the single-core and dual-coare miniPC
