AMD barebones

Post by The Black Pumpkin »

I'm building a laptop for my sister for her graduation from college, and I'd really like for it to have an AMD processor in the central seat. But I have yet to find a barebone for around $500-$600 that's 15" (not widescreen) with basic graphics.

I like the MSI MS1029, but the graphics are pretty much overkill, and I can't find it for less than $750.

Does anyone know of any good AMD barebones?

I got a list of every nearly every Intel barebone notebook, but AMD makes it hard to find a listing of all their barebone notebooks. I'll see what I can dig around and find. I couldn't find any pricing for under $750ish either.

Thanks for the quick reply. :)

Right now I've got 4 different ones I'm looking at.

ASUS a6u for $635

ECS 536 for $600

or

MSI ms1029 for $736.68 (the cheapest I've seen)

The Mitac 8889c seems to be just what I'm looking for, but I can't find anyone who has it for sale.
