Dell 9300 info ??

I bought a 9300 with the x300 128 video card; what do i need to know as far as what video card or proceesssor upgrades will work in this? it was a scatch and dent purchase so im not sure of which mobo it has but it came with the a05 bios

Well if you can get the parts then you can theoretically upgrade to a go7800GTX (maybe even a 7900GTX, i havent checked that one since it came out).

And with CPU the max you can get is the fastest pentium M, 2.26Ghz was is? Though there is a nice trick to OC a 1.7GHz 735 to a 2+GHz

it has the 1.86 ghz cpu with 1gb ram 100gb hdd @ 5400rpm

looking mainly to do something with video

i have seen posts with gen pak mod but havent done much of anything with laptops ; build mostly desktop pcs

where can i find a 6800 go non ultra and will that help very much?

Over your current setup that would help loads, but there is a world of difference between the 6800go vanilla and ultra (only go for it if you can justify the cash though! and you might want to consider a 7800gs in that case).

You can order it directly form dell spare parts, Part # W5373. Though that is the most expensive route, not sure of its official price.

Alternatively search around forums with lots of dell users, i saw one for sale over here for $150, not sure if it sold yet, but ask around and someone will be bound to have one.

And again you could search on ebay, you should expect to pay about $150
