pci 2.2 on non pci2.2 board?

Im looking at getting this...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6833180030 but it is a pci2.2 card. I want to put it in a ABIT IS7 board
http://www.extremeoverclocking.com/revi ... IS7_1.html I dont htink it has pci 2.2 slots. will the card still work?

I'd guess it would! AFAIK the 2.2 spec only allows for better latency and clearer signal. Unless your running alot of PCI cards it should be ok.
I'd almost put money on it working, but there's alwayys a chance it wont.

If newegg wont take it back, ill just tell them that Ken told me it would work
(even though i would only be out a buck...)
