Finding a TV/MONITOR LCD, help

Hey guys, i have been trying to find a decent sized TV/Computer Monitor but i have no clue where to start, when i do find one its usually a brand name that i have never heard of and im a little weary to order that kind of things online.
But i have no clue what to look for and it would be nice if i could just go ahead and get a TV/Computer Monitor in one bundle.
Also, are these TV/Monitor combo's even good for using them mainly as a computer monitor? i play alot of computer games and im not entirely sure which one would benefit me.
