Hi, everybody out there. I'm a PC gamer from Venezuela (first-person shooter) looking for help. I'd like to buy an IntelD975XBX mobo (I'm upgrading my PC) and I'm thinking about having a SLI configuration (e.g. two 7900 GT video cards). Is it possible with this motherboard? If so, that means I will have to buy a SLI bridge separately, right? Thanks in advance for any reply or recomendation :)

Venezuela eh? I was there in February of '05 for a church mission trip. Very hot even then. :P

We were in a little town named El Manteco (I think). It was pretty cool, I'd like to go back (or to some other South American country, just somewhere.)

Sorry, no help for the SLI problem from myself, but I think Apoptosis has had two 7950GTXs on that board in SLI, so it's possible.
AMD Opteron 1224SE "Santa Ana" = DFI Lanparty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G
Crucial Ballistix 4x1GB DDR2 800 = Corsair CMPSU-750TX
Sapphire 4870 1GB = Sceptre X20WG-Naga 20" = Logitech X-530 5.1
Seagate 320GB (SATA II) x2 = Samsung SH-S203B (SATA)

Hello teiwazk welcome from 1 new guy to another.
I am pretty sure the 975X chipset is for Crossfire(Dual ATI cards)
I am 24% addicted to Counterstrike. What about you?

Biostar 590/AMD 6400+
2 Gigs of Ballistix Tracers
2 WD 160Gig in Raid0
8800GTs in SLI
PC Power & Cooling 510(highly modified)

Case Changes Weekly, lol

See, told ya I didn't know nothin' about SLI. Or Crossfire. Or dual anything, for that matter...

I'm the extreme budget gamer. A PII 400 and a Geforce 4 MX440 got me through the first Dungeon Siege, Halo, and a bit of Morrowind. Ouch... :P

Welcome to the forums!

Nate
It will run a single GeForce 7950GX2 Graphics Card: Review Here

or it will run any combination of ATI crossfire graphics cards...

SLI Versus CrossFire Review
Sapphire X1600 Pro CrossFire Review

None of the Intel based motherboards run SLI right now...
