Just to introduce myself. Will be upgrading from ASUS P4P8X MB to the new socket LGA 775

Just had to RMA 2 boards to newegg. ANd am looking for a better performing board. Problem with the JMICRON bios when I tried to use IDE and SATA drives together.

Am considering the new INTEL975XBX2 MB. I do NOT want an MB with the JMicron bios.

Never had so much trouble with an Upgrade as I am having not. NO VISTA involved -- going with XP Home edition.

avoid the bad axe board, check out Intel Motherboard Forums, it is full with people that have problems

The Intel D975XBX2 motherboard is a great board... it just has some limitations that you need to be aware of... Have fun surfing the Intel motherboard forum as we have over 100+ posts on the D975XBX2!
