Hi,
My name is Ian Jones aka Pistyll which is welsh for waterfall, I am 46 and have been interested in computers since 1980. I have owned a ZX81 with the 16k wobbly ram pack, a Commodore vic 20, Commodore 64(My favourite way ahead of its time with dedicated chips sid etc) Atari 520stfm, 2x Commodore A500's, Sega saturn!!, 2x486 1x486sx,Cyrix 166 With a voddoo 2 graphics card!!!!,AMD K62, Duron 800, Athlon xp2800+, Athlon xp3000+,
athlon 64 3000+, athlon 64 3500+, OPteron 146, Athlon 64 4200+ x2 dc, Athlon 64 4800+ x3 Dual core, So as you can see i am a die hard amd fan although recently i must admit i have considered jumping ship and going to intel with their excellent core2 duo a real killer chip for intel and no more than amd deserves for sitting on their fat corporate asses when athlon 64 was wiping the floor with p4 did they really think intel would roll over and die?? i dont think so!!!
Anyway hi all see you at the forums with some pertinant questions i hope!!!

Re: Hi!!!
Welcome, Ian. It's good to see there are still loyal amd fanboys out there. I can still count myself among your number for now. ;) Don't jump ship just yet. No wait, if you have the money jump ship.
Re: Hi!!!
I am also a big AMD fan, but I don't plan on jumping ship anytime soon. I have pretty much always preferred AMD over Intel, just because the price/performance ration is much better. My brother always uses Intel, but I end up building a system that's faster than his for less. Anyway... Howdy, Ian. I am a noob on the forums also. If you can wait, I have a feeling that the Phenom FX is going to be pretty good. I may be wrong though, we'll see soon enough.
