Another new face on the block.

Trying to find good forum sites is tough work. After reading through some of your reviews and going over posts by your members, you guys seem to be a great knowledge base of friendly people.

In case you care, I'm a 28 year old Mechanical Engineer out of Detroit, MI. I run an old Socket A Athlon (just Athlon no Athlon XP or Athlon 64) with a 9600 PRO. Its old, and needs replaced. Thats where you guys come in. I have questions, you guys seem to have answers. I hope this all works out.

PS, after seeing this: :drinkers:, I knew I was in the right place
Athlon 2900 + 9600PRO + Chaintech MB + 1GB PC3200 = I need a new computer

Our careers are similar. I once worked in Rochester Hills off of M-59 & Crooks for a tier-2 supplier. Now I'm in NY working for a tier-1 supplier. I'm doing UGNX5, SolidWorks, ANSYS, and soon Fluent/CFX for CFD.

Welcome good sir. I'm new myself (as you already knew) and have found these forums to be among the best out there. Plus there are great reviews and news here. A great site with some really knowledgeable people.

Good luck with your build! Your machine is even older than my work machine, and I didn't think that was possible!
