Just another introduction

Greetings,
For the heck of it, an introduction from me to this forum. Because it's possible.
My nickname is Purplemess, and I'm new (so far too obvious). I'm a student Applied Physics and a casual user of Kubuntu and winxp 64bit (with clear preference to the kubuntu side). I'm also a system administrator for a small mixed network, linux/windows as servers, and windows workstation. It's cause the (l)users want it...)
On the non-geeky side, I'm playing snooker and trying to run fast from time to time.
Not really anything more to tell, but if you wish to know something specific, feel free to ask it.
