Hello to my fellow nerds (uhh.. I mean enthusiasts)!!

Post by willardcw4 »

Hey guys!

Long time reader, first time poster!

I found LR one day off of google when I was researching some computer hardware a long time ago (I'm thinking over a year..) and have been an avid reader ever since :)

I build my own PCs and consider myself an 'enthusiast', but not to the extent that I run tri-SLI setups and nitrogen cooling (although that would be a fun project if I had the bankroll!). I generally build a PC every 1.5-2 years and upgrade a few components, such as the video card, every year. Next on the list is a video card (most likely the gigabyte SOC 470, upgrading from a 260GTX 216) and then an SSD when they get closer to the $1/GB range and SATA III is supported by more SSD drives.

I'm an avid gamer as well, mainly playing FPS games (COD, BF, etc.), but have played (or am still playing through) my fair share of MMO/RPGs and Strategy games (WoW, SC2, FO3/NV, etc.). Definitely going to play the sh*t out of COD:BO when it comes out next week =D

Anywho, just thought I'd introduce myself and become active on the forums. Thanks for the great site thus far!

Oh, and my current 'fanboy' affiliations are Nvidia and Intel (... to bad they hate each other..)
