Came across the site thought i would post.

Some of you seen my other post on the new computer i just built.

College graduate working 2 jobs now.

I work for a company doing there websites and also started my own company called http://bossmanmedia.com

Must be doing something right because my own company made me enough money in few months to build this rig working on the side.

Long term goal is to be my own boss and have an office one day. Until then i will be working my butt off until i get it.

yeah, welcome to the forums!!!! seems we're semi-neighbors, lol.....so I guess I'm correct to assume there are still good jobs in Charlotte for the technologically-inclined ones? If so, I might be inclined to get out of Spartanburg and head up that way after I finish my A.S. in Computer Tech with Networking Electives (Cisco).

dam What all is involded with that?

I have heard of cisco alot but never used it. I have family in Spart.

Even in my business i get alot of side job fixing computer. Maybe i can sub contract you out threw my business and get ya to make some spare money..

Well, the degree pretty much involves elements of A+ (Hardware/Software and some Linux/Unix), the CCNA (actually, it's a curriculum in itself, 4 classes over two semesters, covering pretty much everything on the CCNA exam...not sure if you're familiar with it, but it's Cisco's Network Academy), and of course a lot of MS stuff.....and the standard core classes, which I wish they would just eliminate core classes altogether because I learned all this stuff in HS, no need to re-hash it, lol. I have a total of 18 credit hours left to take before I graduate with my degree (pretty much a couple of classes this summer and a full semester in the fall, graduate in the spring of '07).

As for the business end, that would awesome.....could always use a little extra money, but who couldn't, right? heheh

Anyways, the reason you probably heard of Cisco is because it's one of the hardest certs to get besides the MCSE with Security, and I plan on taking it head-on, balls to the wall.....it's gotten me this far, had a 3.6 GPA last semester and it was simple. Now this semester...welll.....let's just say I'll be pushing it to make that (damn core classes, lol).

yup, I figure I have enough to lose to give it my all, so why not? I've come to the conclusion that this is my last shot at graduating because of the rising costs of education and my financial difficulties, so I am going to make the most of that federal aid I received

Good luck man, I remember when i was in school last year, Working 3 jobs and going to school full time isn't fun, But now i am glad i did it.

yeah, that is pretty rough......I work full-time and take 15 credit hours, so I feel your pain. I don't even have time to get another job, because by the time I get home from school I have an hour or so for lunch then off to work I go. Yeah, it's pretty hard, but it'll get easier as this semester progresses......for some reason, every semester I've attended has made me have to use different time schedules and ways of getting work done, and that's what's hard for me: adaptation to severe degrees. Change a little something, that's fine, but when you're talking some hardcore paper-writing and Statistics (that's all I need to say, Statistics, lol) in the same day, it tends to be difficult, but I'll more than manage. I actually need a higher-paying job as I'm working at a manufacturing plant for what I consider "peanuts" ($9/hr to work in 400 F ovens and around plastic fumes all day), and I've been looking for awhile, but it's all good, for now, lol.

whew.. still tough. just hang in there.
