Hello:

Great website!

To save some money I've decided to build my own higher end pc. I bought Intel's bad axe 2, an E6300 processor, 2Gig of DDR2 800MHz ram, and a ATI 1950 Pro video card.

I got XP loaded with some problems and the PC is running :) . Still having problems with the Raid setup. (getting the NO Raid defined message during boot-up) :? . So I thought I would joint this forum to get some badly needed help. I am hoping to find out basic procedure for loading XP on this computer with a single 250GB SATA hard drive with a future upgrade to 2 sata drives in a raid configuration. Like I said previously, my machine is running XP but I am still alittle confused how I got my machine to recognize my SATA HD and why I get the Raid messages @ bootup :? .

Regards,

Frank

In the BIOS under drive configuration did you change it from IDE to RAID?

After that is set you have to hit ctrl + I to build the array...

Then wen you load XP you have to hit F6 and load the raid drivers for XP to correctly install on the RAID Array.

I know this guide is for Vista, but look at page on as it shows some screen shots that might help you. http://legitreviews.com/article/454/1/
