I am trying to get my new nVidia 7600 GT card to display 1680 x 105 (WUXGA+) to a wide screen HP monitor...this is not a native resolution for this card..
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. So far, I have not heard from nVidia...of course the email just went out tonight! My fault for not checking the vitals of the card before purchase, but even now I cannot find any listings for resolutions for ANY card.
New to this forum...hello, everyone.

Thanks, InspectahAce
I have the latest and (hopefully) greatest deivers from nVisia...and a huge list of resolutions to choose from, but none in that aspect ratio. They seem to be focused on the 4:3 ratio....perhaps its the XFX card, but I doubt it. I think its a driver issue.

not sure dude...i have a monitor with 1680x1050...works beautifully with the drivers..now if u just installed it...go into the nvidia control panel..and look into the flat panel scaling..and change that to nvidia scaling..that will do it..but the resolution should do it alone

Indeed, I too have a 1680x1050 monitor, mine running on an FX5500 (
) and with the 93.71 drivers from nvidia, it works fine.
Maybe try reinstalling the drivers?

Thanks to everyone, I will NOT return the monitor...turns out to be a bad video card. javascript:emoticon('')
Embarassed I will RMA it and get a new card. Sure the new card will work just fine, I now have confidence.

It turns out that my old ASUS A8V Deluxe mobo has a 1.5 v AGP 4x 8x video slot. The nVidia 7600 GT card I bought is .8 v (consistant with AGP 3.0), so I bought a BFG 7800 GTX card that is 1.5 v (actually AGP 2.0 compliant). Now everything loads up fine...except the nVidia control panel will not load. I do have the latest drivers and the Win XP display setting properties allows for my proper screen settings. Oh well. I will probably have to reload Windows at some point. Maybe I will wait until Vista has been out a while then see what happens.
Asus A8V Deluxe, AMD 64 4000+, BFG 7800 GTX 256 DDR3, HP W22 monitor, 200 x 1 Sata. 2 x 512 dual channel no name memory. Standard HSFan (never gets to 40 deg C), no extra cooling on the video card. A little boring but it gets me there.
Thanks again for all the helpful comments...you got me on the right track.
