Hello, I'm vic, I'm a legit reviews newb.
I found the site while looking for video card reviews. I was in the market for a value card, and I landed on the XFX GeForce 7600GT.
Its a nice card, clocked at 650mhz out of the box, and a memory clock speed of 1600.
I haven't overclocked it yet because I still haven't tested it's limits, but I plan to overclock it a bit (any ideas? I usually just bump it up a tiny bit so I dont burn it out, I dont know how to stress test it.)
Anyway, here is my ho-hum rig
Dell dimension 521
AMD 64 3200+ overclocked to 2.1ghz
XFX 7600GT 256 mg
1 gig (x2 512) of ram
80 gig hdd
DVD drive
I know it's not much, but I can run stalker, fear, and company of heroes pretty well with my new video card.
I used to only use intel chips, but I think I like AMD better now. my 64 3200+ runs on par with a P4 3.00 ghz according to a comparison I read, so I think thats a leg up on the competition.
I eventually want more ram and a larger HDD
Anway, that's me.
I'm more of a casual gamer than a hardware
