I am running it on vista 32 bit, and i have this problem. When i try to play a game, everything crashes and i have to restart the computer. This happens usually in about 10 seconds. What should i do? Could it be a hardware error? Is there any way to fix this? And my computer just came out of the repair shop, when i had a simillar problem but related to RAM... I dont know if that helps. Also, when i was running the Catalyst control center, it tried to crash at the 3d menu but vista said that video card crashed but recovered, and after that, when i started a game, it still crashed. The game i tried is Toribash.
Is there a way to fix this problem? If you need more information, then ask, what u need.
EDIT: Just got a blue creen error saying that the driver got stuck in an endless loop or something.. wtf??
Help please!

Did you install the latest grafics driver version 8.6 ? http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catal ... on-vista32
So everytime you want to start a 3D application it crashes?

Yes, I just installed the Catalyst Control center again today, it had no effect.
It crashes on 3D applications, yes, i believe.

That would lead me to believe you need a new grafic card. I had a similar problem with my GeForce 6800 some time ago, I accidently bent some stuff on the grafic card and after that only the 2D mode ( desktop etc.) worked and crashed on 3D mode. I didn't have vista back then and my pc didn't restart just got black screen for ever, when trying to start 3D apps. So the restarting could be a result of the new OS.
I wouldn't give my hand for it but thats the most likley thing to me.

I think the guys from the repair shop bent it then? can i ask for a new card from them because they broke it?

That seems most likely to me. Lets see if anybody else has a different solution for this, but if there aren't any I'd say get them to buy you a new card.

i guess i would start by taking it back to them and let them know what the new problem is and that it was fine before they serviced it.
