ati 3800 'unsupported opengl' :S

ey all,
i've got an ati radeon 3800 WITH the latest drivers (8.8 ). but when i try to play opengl games, like wolfenstein: enemy territory, or runescape HD, it gives the error 'unsupported opengl'. i think the programs just don't SEE opengl, since i tried several things, like SIW, for an opengl test, and that worked. also, ati CCC says that i have OpenGL Version 6.14.10.7659 . what can be my problem? please help!
