ATI TV Wonder 600 USB Problem

Post by ~Adam~ »

I think I've spent the last 4 hours trying to get this bloody thing to work. I plugged in the USB thing, installed whatever was on the disc and then I read I needed a driver cause I had Vista and it wouldn't recognize it without it, the only problem is it still doesn't work! I'm brain dead from what should be easy to a never ending journey of depression.

Does it matter where I saved the drivers? I just want this stupid thing to work on my laptop. And I'm not willing to buy another one or reformat my computer ofr whatever, just please help!

as long as you install the driver and the catalyst media center..you be should be good to go...im in vista 64 and have the same tv tuner as you..i downloaded the latest driver from AMD/ATI's website..and used the catalyst media center from the cd and has worked fine for me..is it crashing or what is it doing exactly?

I have it plugged in and I installed the program, downloaded the driver, now when I go to use it it says "TV Tuner not found, if you have the hardware....." you know, it basically can't read my TV Tuner when it's plugged in. Is there a particular place I have to save my driver?

I keep reading places that say it's easy but my computer has all the requirements but it simply doesn't recognize that the thing is plugged in.

Well honestly in my experience with that tv tuner, the only time I ever got that same exact message on it not found, was when i tried to use the Windows Media Center in Vista.. But I've ran and continue to run(i have the local news runnin on it as im writing as a matter of fact) with the Catalyst MC with no issue at all..and no is shouldn't matter where you install the driver..I normally put in the Program Files folder but it shouldn't matter where..the only other thing I can think of other than the driver not installed correctly somehow, is that you got a bum tuner and would just need to exchange for a new one(if ur within the exchange limits of when u got it of course)..its been a darn good tuner and out of the ones ive personally seen..this one beats them(in my opinion)

Hey guys, I finally got it to work. In the ATI Folder I had to install the driver itself and then use the disk.

So anyways, I started up ATI Catalyst Media Manager and can someone tell me how I can capture from my camcorder to the computer? I went on videos, then capture device and all that, but all I see is a black screen.
