XFX Ati hd 4650 Problem in Windows XP

After installing drivers my computer gets slow while running windows xp. In the task manager cpu usage always stays around 30% even i am not doing anything.It takes lot of time to enter in windows xp desktop. I'm using Intel Pentium D 2.80 Ghz,1GB ram,1gb of Ati hd 4650,my motherboard is asus 945gz-mx.I tried everything reinstalling drivers,even reinstalling win xp.if I uninstall drivers then it became alright.after reinstalling drivers it gets slow,when i move mouse,the mouse pointer is not moving smoothly.its very irritating.If i want to play games like NFS most wanted it is not running smoothly,even solitaire game in windows xp.I used both updated and older driver software.But no luck

Then I installed Vista Home premium and its working fine.No problem at all

I can't use vista bcos it takes lot of my ram.i have my limitation.please help me.i want to use windows xp

You can try drivers from guru3d u dont have to install Catalyst Control Center only driver can be installed. RAM prices has fallen buy another 1GB stick if u can.

Let us know what happens.
