Just bought a ATI X9150Pro and installed the latest driver with Catalyst Control Center, after removing my old NVidia 7600GT Drivers and now the Catalyst Control Center says I can't use the Control Center as I dont have permission ???? contact the administrator,,, Thats me ? any suggestions ?
Also found out that the NVidia didnt remove all traces of its drivers as I get to 2 pop up's at start of Windows,, is there any registry hacks I can do to remove all NV traces.
I don't want to reinstall XP as I just loaded up all my applications from a previous install a week ago..
ATI Software Problem and NVidia Traces left..

I'd remove both the ATI and NVIDIA driver from your system... Uninstall the hardware and remove the drivers with the uninstall utility that both came with and then I'd run the cleaner programs... After that is done i'd remove the nvidia folder on the C: drive manually and then make sure I deleted the Forceware by going to your \Windows\System32 and \Windows\System32\Drivers directories, and find and delete all files beginning with 'NV...'. You may notice that some of these files keep recreating themselves - don't worry, these are just the default XP Nvidia drivers which are protected and can't be permanently deleted.
To ensure all remnants of your existing drivers have been removed:
Click-START then RUN and type in the dialog box enter regedit and then click OK. You will then be faced with a drop-down list. Click the cross in the box next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER. When it opens, click on the cross next to SOFTWARE. Scroll down and remove any reference to NVIDIA CORPORATION by right clicking on it and deleting it. Once you've done that, close all the boxes up and repeat the same procedure with the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. You can then return to your desktop.

Sorted now,,,
Solution:
After installing the latest ATI Driver,, and you have probelms,, then remove ONLY the Catalyst Control Center ( Add/Remove), Reboot,
then reinstall ONLY the ATI Catalyst Control Center,
then Reboot, and thats it...
That should clear up any problems..
