Screen is blinking w/ my X1950 Pro (after OC)

I have a Sapphire X1950 Pro (AGP) 512MB card for my computer. When i open up catalyst control and allow it to "run automated clock configuration utility", it sets my Graphics Processor Status at about 615 while my Graphics Memory Status is a shade under 800. When i drag the Graphics Processor Status bar down to the minimum of 699, it stops blinking. If i move it the slightest bit away from that 699, the screen starts blinking repeatedly after i apply the settings. Any ideas?

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers, using driver cleaner aswell?

haven't tried reinstalling. What i did try was ATI Tools Tray, but for some reason it wouldn't let me overclock. I'd move the overclocking slider and whatnot, but then whenever i clicked apply, it would reset it back to where it was.
