My ATI 9800 Pro 256mb DDR2 video card fan failed...
I contacted ATI to get my fan replaced, but for some reason a week has come and gone without the marketing team sending anything out.
I had to come up with a fix so I can use my main system...
I happened to have a thermaltake fan that had a plastic gaurd on the bottom that I could place over the original heatsinks minus the locked up fan I removed...
Trust me if I had duct tape laying around I'd stick it on there too... I've never had a fan lock up solid on me, but in the end it's all laughs and my core temps are down... LMAO
What to do when your fan fails...
