ATI x1250 and Vista

Hey Folks,

I have an MSI K9AG Neo2-Digital board with the 690G chipset and the ATI x1250 graphics adapter. I recently installed Vista Home Premium but am having some trouble getting the adapter to work with my DELL 1907FP TFT LCD. When i enable the adapter i reboot and when the windows login screen should come up, my LCD goes from the green light to the orange light and the screen goes from the windows loading splash screen not to the login screen but to pure black. I can still hear the windows login sounds from my speakers.

I can go back into Safe Mode and disable the adapter and get into Windows just fine using the generic VGA adapter. I cannot re-enable the driver or i am out of luck. My board is using the latest BIOS and the driver is of the latest version too.

I have seen on the ATI customer service site that there is a problem with other integrated adapters and this exact problem but mine is not listed as problematic. For these adapters there is a workaround that i havent tried but will tonight.

Anyone have any ideas? THis also happens in Windows XP as well.

Any help would be appreciated....

Cheers....
.
Shane

Shane,

a new driver just came out a few minutes ago 7.11 and was done with stability fixes in mind, so give it a try.
